Meet the Scholars
Jairo holds a 4.2 grade point average, while serving as Treasurer for the Math, Engineering, and Science Academy (MESA) and carrying a course load that includes Advanced Placement Courses in Government/ Economics and Calculus. Jairo is a General Officer for his school's Latinos Club and a member of the California Scholarship Federation. He was a member of the Gilroy High Mustang's soccer team from 2004-2006 and was co-captain in 2005. Even with a busy course load, Jairo still finds the time to work 18 hours a week at a local movie theater.
