Meet the Scholars
Brittany Yerro
Merrill F. West High School, TracySponsoring Standard Pacific Communities: Oxford Square / Redbridge
Brittany holds a 3.83 grade point average and is an active member of her school’s Key and Pre-Med Clubs, in addition to West High’s California Scholarship Federation chapter. Away from school, she has volunteered her time to the Salvation Army, the Tracy Hospital Foundation’s Festival of Trees and the Knights of Columbus’ annual Tootsie Roll Drive. In 2006, Soroptimist International of Tracy/Daybreak honored Brittany with the Violet Richardson Award which annually recognizes a girl between the ages of 14 and 17 for her outstanding volunteer efforts. This summer, Brittany was recognized by the California State Assembly, California Board of Supervisors, City of Stockton, Drug Enforcement Administration and California State Legislature for her work with the San Joaquin County’s Students in Prevention Program.
